CBR Network South Asia (CNSA)
CBR Network South Asia has been established in 1993 with the aim of
strengthening networking in the region. CBR Network South Asia collects
and disseminates information on disabilitymanagement and development,
organises training for CBRworkforce, supports inmatchmaking of expertise
and needs, promotes partnership market and creates regional sharing
opportunities. Since a few years it has been focusing on formal education
on CBR / disability management in collaboration with the University of
Bangalore. These Training programmes are offered on distancemode have
collaboration with Rehabilitation Council of India, Indian Epilepsy
Association, India, the international portage association, U.S.A and
international institute of rehabilitation management, Lisbon, Portugal.
CBR Network South Asia promotes research on CBR, integrated education,
social inclusion of people with disabilities, activities related to senior
citizens including proper utilization of senior citizens’ experiences, gender
and disability, policy advocacy, etc.
CBR Network South Asia (CNSA) publishes and distributes various social
communication tools and training materials in CBR. The Network has
developed different materials on disability management and supported
all countries based on their needs. Set of small leaflets on different aspects
of CBR, CBR fact sheets and a very comprehensive CBR information kit
consisting of 52 CDs are a few examples of CNSA’s work.
CBR Network is an associatemember of Rehabilitation International (USA).
